The Nordiques crushed the Islanders 5-1

The L/A Nordiques' offense had a big night, peppering the Cape Cod Islanders with 42 shots throughout the game. The L/A Nordiques took the lead before the halfway point in the first on a goal from Jp Chauvin and never looked back.

Caleb Labrie did his part, adding 2 goals and Clifford Ogle contributed with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

In the first period, Labrie opened the scoring for L/A with a goal at 1:23 with a helper from defenseman Bennett. Chauvin deposited what turned out to be the game winning goal at 13:18 with assists from his teammates Secor and Malone. Labrie netted a goal at 16:41 with a helper from his linemate Plummer.

In the second period, Kervinen finally put Cape Cod on the board with a goal at 5:21 with an assist from St. Amand.

During the third, Secor answered for the Nordiques with a goal at 9:23 with helpers from Tehan and Ogle. Ogle deposited a goal at 17:40 with an assist from defenseman Tehan.

L/A’S victory was in no doubt helped out by Errico as he stopped 20 of the 21 shots he faced. Errico’s counterpart, Maki, also had a big night, managing to stop 7 of 10, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the L/A Nordiques’ record to (20-4-1-1).
