The Nordiques crushed the Islanders 5-2

The L/A Nordiques' offense had a big night, peppering the Cape Cod Islanders with 36 shots throughout the game. The L/A Nordiques took the lead late in the second on a goal from Shayne Plummer.

Jp Chauvin contributed with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Cole Ouellette had no trouble finding the scoresheet, adding 2 assists.

During the first, Auclair opened the scoring for the Islanders with a goal at 0:20 with a helper from Conway. Tehan answered for L/A with a goal at 6:24 with a helper from his teammate Ogle. Frechette put in a goal at 13:01 with assists from Chauvin and Labrie.

In the second, Plummer scored what turned out to be the game winning goal at 16:21 with helpers from Labrie and Ouellette. Kervinen quickly followed with a goal at 17:20.

During the third, Malone answered for L/A with a goal at 8:57 with assists from Labrie and Mccormick. Chauvin deposited a goal at 18:35 with helpers from Ouellette and Audette.

L/A’S victory was in no doubt helped out by Errico as he stopped 18 of the 20 shots he faced. Errico’s counterpart, Maki, also had a big night, managing to stop 31 of 36, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the L/A Nordiques’ record to (14-4-0-0).
