Labrie's hat trick helped the Nordiques crush the Wild 6-2

Caleb Labrie led the way with a hat trick as the L/A Nordiques crushed the Maine Wild 6-2 in a home game at Biddeford Arena in L/A. As well, the L/A Nordiques' offense had a big night, peppering Maine with 47 shots throughout the game. The L/A Nordiques took the lead before the halfway point in the second on a goal from Caleb Labrie.

Cole Ouellette contributed with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Shayne Plummer had no trouble finding the scoresheet, adding 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists). Dany Shestakov delivered for his team with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Jason Gratz chipped in with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

In the first period, Shestakov opened the scoring for Maine with a goal at 3:21 with helpers from his teammates Gratz and Panfen. Gratz netted a goal at 13:08 with helpers from his linemates, Shestakov and Mehall. Labrie finally put L/A on the board with a goal at 15:17 with assists from Ouellette and Kennedy.

In the second period, Plummer deposited a goal at 5:13 with helpers from Chauvin and Malone. Labrie scored what turned out to be the game winning goal at 9:31 with assists from Chauvin and Plummer. Sullivan put in a goal at 12:56 with helpers from Berry and Crawley. Ouellette netted a goal at 19:37 with assists from Plummer and Labrie.

During the third, Labrie scored a goal at 10:32 with helpers from Kennedy and Chauvin.

L/A’S victory was in no doubt helped out by Errico as he stopped 19 of the 21 shots he faced. Errico’s counterpart, Jenkins, also had a big night, managing to stop 41 of 47, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the L/A Nordiques’ record to (4-2-0-0).
