Caleb Labrie, Shayne Plummer and Joshua Sanchez had big nights with 6 points (4 goals, 2 assists), 5 points (1 goal, 4 assists) and 4 points (1 goal, 3 assists) respectively as the L/A Nordiques crushed the Northeast Generals 9-1 in a home game at Norway Savings Bank Arena in L/A. Furthermore, the L/A Nordiques' offense had a big night, peppering Northeast with 43 shots throughout the game. The L/A Nordiques took the lead before the halfway point in the first on a goal from Caleb Labrie and never looked back.
Joe Bisson delivered for his team with 2 goals and Zack Mullen did his part, adding 2 assists.
In the first period, Labrie opened the scoring for L/A with a goal at 3:59 with helpers from teammates Sanchez and Chauvin. Labrie netted what turned out to be the game winning goal at 12:57 with assists from Chauvin and Plummer. Tehan quickly followed with a goal at 14:57 with helpers from Plummer and Labrie. Bisson put in a goal at 18:52 with assists from Sanchez and Chauvin.
In the second period, Plummer scored a goal at 6:00 with helpers from Ouellette and Sanchez. Bisson quickly followed with a goal at 7:52 with assists from his linemates, Kennedy and Ventura. Toal finally put the Generals on the board with a goal at 12:18 with a helper from Faia. Labrie answered for the Nordiques with a goal at 14:57 with assists from his linemates, Plummer and Mullen.
During the third period, Sanchez scored a goal at 4:04 with helpers from his linemates, Labrie and Plummer. Labrie netted a goal at 19:35 with assists from his linemates, Mullen and Audette.
L/A’S victory was in no doubt helped out by Errico’s big night as he stopped 26 of the 27 shots he faced. Errico’s counterpart, Sesock, also had a big night, managing to stop 3 of 6, but ultimately fell short.
This win brings the L/A Nordiques’ record to (33-11-3-1).
