Cole Ouellette had a big night with 5 points (1 goal, 4 assists) as the L/A Nordiques crushed the Long Beach Sharks 11-0 in a home game at Androscoggin Bank Colisee in L/A. Furthermore, the L/A Nordiques' offense had a big night, peppering the Sharks with 60 shots throughout the game, to go along with Jason St. Pierre's shutout. The L/A Nordiques took the lead early in the first on a goal from Caleb Labrie and never looked back.
Clifford Ogle chipped in with 2 goals and Caleb Labrie delivered for his team with 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist).
During the first period, Labrie opened the scoring for L/A with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 1:37 with a helper from defenseman Mccormick. Secor quickly followed with a goal at 2:53. Colclough put in a goal at 11:40 with an assist from defenseman Ouellette. Ouellette deposited a goal at 16:23 with a helper from Sullivan.
During the second, Ogle netted a goal at 5:22 with assists from teammates Labrie and Ouellette. Audette quickly followed with a goal at 5:39. Labrie quickly followed with a goal at 6:31. Berry put in a goal at 13:42 with helpers from Ouellette and Secor. Chauvin netted a goal at 18:47 with an assist from Secor.
During the third, Ogle scored a goal at 4:04. Colclough deposited a goal at 17:19 with helpers from Ouellette and Berry.
L/A’S victory was in no doubt helped out by St. Pierre’s shutout, as he stopped all 15 of the shots he faced. St. Pierre’s counterpart, Vutci, also had a big night, managing to stop 25 of 31, but ultimately fell short.
This win brings the L/A Nordiques’ record to (24-9-2-1).
